Our Mission

To promote awareness of our common interests to help achieve a more just balancing of interests, through peaceful resolution of conflict, whether the conflict is one-on-one or within larger populations, to achieve better outcomes for individuals and for our wider community. The idea is that recognizing and focusing on our shared ideals and interests, on what we agree on, will lead to better and more just outcomes for more of us.

 

Our Mission Includes:

  • Promoting the peaceful resolution of conflict through collaborative law and other forms of alternative dispute resolution;

  • Providing pro bono and reduced fee legal services to persons of low and middle income, particularly collaborative law legal services;

  • Conducting public information campaigns regarding the American civic and democratic process, including the legislative process, civic engagement, the roles of the three branches of government, and how our democracy differs from other forms of government;

  • Addressing issues of social justice in order to maximize the opportunity for more people to benefit from our democratic system.
