Richard Montgomery has been a Legislative and Governmental Relations professional for 30 years. He serves as Legislative Director and Lobbyist for the Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA) for 18 years. In that capacity, he also served as the MSBA Liaison to the Court of Appeals’ Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure. Previously he served as Deputy Legislative Officer to 2 Governors of Maryland.

Mr. Montgomery currently serves as a Trustee of Maryland Citizens for the Arts and previously served on the Board of The Arts Council for Anne Arundel County (Annapolis), and Art with a Heart (Baltimore).

Richard is a native of Baltimore and is an alum of Loyola Blakefield, and the University of Maryland, College Park.
