Elan Fisher

Elan is currently in the Honors College, College of Computer, Mathematical & Natural Sciences,

University of Maryland, College Park. He expects to graduate in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in

Computer Science and a Minor in ACES Cyber Security. Elan also is Cyber Operations Intern with the

MITRE Corporation in McLean, Virginia. In 2021, he participated in the Northeast Collegiate Cyber

Defense Competition where he researched, developed, and implemented security controls for Linux

defense and was Team Captain for the National Cyber League from Fall 2019—Fall 2021 where he

completed captured the flag style challenges designed around exam objectives of the CompTIA Security+

and EC Council Certified Ethical Hacker certifications. In the Fall of 2020, Elan was a Teaching Assistant at

Pace University, co-authoring lesson plans with a professor, and from 2020 to the present, he has served as

a Game Design Mentor for high school students. Elan is hoping his energy and skills can be useful in

supporting social justice programs.
